1: You have to read out DME VIN from replaced engine. Use BMW explore or ECU explore to change VIN and sync DME_-CAS.
2: Check read out VINs type key. Use E-sys to change original FA's type key->save it.
3: Load modified FA to caculate swfl, cafd...and flash it.
BTW you must use replaced engine wire harness and all parts.
So You recommend to use wiring harness and turbo from the old (damaged) engine ???

I still have the old engine with all equipment.
So maybe the best way is to replace turbo, catalyzer, wiring and this should work with DME from old engine.

The harnesses are different between EWG and PWG there are different connections for the waste gate actuator. That's why you can't use the EWG harness for PWG and vice versa.

Btw if you need to have a DME boot loaded from ECU explorer or other tools shoot me a PM I'll let you know if I have the equipment and software for your DME.

RE: F30 - coding DME after engine replace
In my case I used DME from damaged engine. The new engine started fine with those DME.

Only thing to do is to change the software, new engine is EWS (electronic wastegate), old one was PWS (pneumatic wastegate). I already confirmed with some fine tuners in Poland possibility of changing type of wastegate.

RE: F30 - coding DME after engine replace
I recently replaced Slave DME on an F10, car starts and runs but with reduced power because it has a dtc on it." Incorrect data record: Power monitoring" is stored on the DME2. It talks of software variant between the DME and CAS. When i check the software versions and details between the DME1 and DME2 , they are same. Any help? Thought both DMEs have not same part numbers but are for 2013MY BMW F10

How do you change the software as you said?
