after immo off if you can disable dtc P1693
EDC17C08

Safi my DTC soft does not cover this ecu.
So I looked at doing new immo off file from your original files. Although my tools do a specific immo off for this cars ecu, with DTC's removed, your files show as incompatable.
The reasons for this could be a bad read, or modifications made to the file like tuning or switches being removed who knows ?

I was able to do two new files using the EDC17 "generic" immo off method and they are slightly different to the files you are using now.

I must mention that it is so important to have clean original files when you do this work. If my two new files dont remove your DTC, then may I suggest that you ask good members Mike Service or Steich, to see if they will go manually through your file to remove the DTC.

The fault code C1288 I think refers to the brake pressure transducer inside the ABS pump, or it may have the later two part pump. I cannot remove this code my friend.

I have a 2011 335d US model. What is the best hardware for reading the ECU? Can you turn the dpf and all the emissions off without actually taking the downpipe off? Sorry for newb questions bu any help is appreciated!
