I have a 2013 Audi A1 with RMC navigation

I have purchased Euopa version 2016 part No8X0919884J from Ebay (no activation code).
The unit doesn't recognise the new map and my local Audi dealer says an activation code is required.
Is this correct to just to upgrade the map and can you please advise me on the procedure.

Buying this maps on ebay is wasted money.
Not exist solution for RMC navigation except Audi original card.
Card contains maps and activation code

Hello, i still think, that it is possible if you have old card and old map activated and you have simple copy of new maps. I made it in Audi A6 C7 with SD MMI (no hdd) twice. I used old lenovo X1 notebook and copy was very slow but it works... (i removed also fyzical write protection on old sd card and made backup for sure.
