RE: 2007 BMW 328i Reset Brake Warning Light
I've had this problem, you need to reset CBS (condition based service) with INPA, because once your sensor is tripped it sets km remaining on brake pads to -50,000km or something ridiculous. After reseting CBS in INPA you should be able to clear the code and be on your way.
If you are like me and have the wheels off multiple times a year you can tie the sensor away somewhere (not in the caliper) so it will never be set off. Saves you from having to replace the sensor if you're visually checking the pads every few months. |

Old theme, but new problem. E90 2005 N52
Friend of mine was "training" with INPA, he hit CBS_reset in DSC module. Now he gots an error on dashboard (replace brake pads) and CBS on yellow. I wanted to help him. Tool32, DSC_89, cbs_reset Br_v;100 Went OK, but error and CBS still there. Can I do something else without sensor changing? Never used function like cbs_korrekturfaktor or cbs_lernewerte_rucksetzen, should I? It is possible because of another error in DSC? (wheelspeedsensor I guess) |

Make short circuit in cable to sensor without sensor itself (ignition on)
Turn off Ignition and plug in sensor with cable Make cbs reset brake pads For me it works THX and REP will be nice

Yep, it usually works,
but I wonder if there is a way only with some software command... like yours idea: (28-01-2016, 20:54 PM)Sabreace Wrote: there is a last hard MethodJob Info looks like "Push if new pads installed". Why hard method? It works? |
