Automatically updating VCI Firmware

To make DiagBox check the VCI firmware and update if necessary,

Precaution:
Copy or move all files (NOT folders) inside "C:\AWRoot\bin\Launcher\" to a safe location before performing the following:

1- Download "Launcher.rar" from the link provided
2- Extract all files into "C:\AWRoot\bin\Launcher\" skipping or replacing existing files (ap.ini need to be replaced)
3- Rename your preferred Firmware inside Launcher folder to APPLI.COM
4- Connect your VCI and wait until it is recognised
5- Launch DiagBox, it will check the VCI Firmware and update ONLY if necessary.

You can disable this function by setting "MAJ_COM=TRUE" to "MAJ_COM=FALSE" in "C:\AWRoot\bin\Launcher\ap.ini"

Note: Some users may be afraid that a damaging APPLI.COM may be included in a future update release. If you are concerned, it does not matter if this is feasible or not, change AP.INI settings to disable firmware update after performing your desired update and put your mind at rest.

Can someone explain me how update manually the diagbox v8.17 to v8.18.....35 with inter updates rar because inside the inter rar updates has on AWroot file 5 folders bin,drv,dtrd,dtwr and MAJ_TABLE
my question now is where may i replace the MAJ_TABLE because i look on c:\AWroot and i dont found this folder/file ?

If you have already installed DiagBox 8.17, then you do not need to download or extract the updates.. DiagBox will actually download and extract by itself, I have not disabled this function...

However, if you do not know what you are doing, do NOT do it, it will certainly render your system unusable.. But if you wish to learn, I have written some initial instructions in one of the posts..

@Simple Ok i leave with 8.17 because i dont undarstand very well the path off updates after v8.17,
now i want to ask you if i leave v8.17 and replace the c:\ APP with APP-835 i have problem with activation on v8.17 or i must change the version.ini for work fine?

I have installed 8.17 and updated the APP directory to 8.35. The only thing is that I edited "version.ini" and entered version=7.81 and all is working well. The important part is 8.xx or 7.xx in version the statement.

I have problem with lexia after all i install the stable version v7.83 and now my problem is that the lexia dont change to my language, pp2000 work fine but lexia not change i try everythink i go to APP
lexia,EXE and change the DICO.txt to my language and the lang.ini but nothing why only lexia dont change my language(GR)?

Having installed your language and keyboard in Windows and set the non-Unicode programs to revert to the preferred language in System Locale, you can change the language in DiagBox releases up to v7.72 through the menu and manually for later releases.

However, I think the point missed in your case is setting the language for "non-Unicode" programs, shown in the first snapshot. You probably need to be connected to the internet for some updates. You can revert back to English US later and still work with your language.

Notice that it works on all Windows (XP, 7, 8 and 10) as well as all DiagBox versions (7.57 and 7.72 are shown in the attached snapshots).

@Simple yes, and mine until 7.57 and 7.72 work fine after that update language on LEXIA not change
now i am on 7.83 and language not change when i change on LEXIA,EXE,DICO.TXT to GR after open
and close diagbox the DICO.TXT on LEXIA change again to GB PP2000 not change stay on GR only
LEXIA change after open and close the the diagbox?

@Simple one more question can update diagbox v8.17 and up without broken system and if yes how we can do that?
