Will it work for E65? because the E65 is digital will it show the oil temp gauge or still the mpg gauge?

I did this mod on a couple of pre-lci 325i with high cluster. On one of them the meter isn't moving. When I run the job "steuern oil temp." in tool32 with a degree of 70 or 100 the meter goes to the correct position.
Does this mean the car is missing hardware or did I made a coding mistake?  What is the easiest way to revert the cluster back to original? Flash cluster with winkfp? MGU virgin and patching in Europa.
