Can someone Change the Productioncode from M4 Coupe to 4S91 for Europe or 4S93 for USA with esys. This are the M4 GTS code and then recalculate the SWT ? I think then we see the Right File.

I will be coding an M4 in the next couple days, can you explain the process of how this can help us find the right file for the M4 GTS DCT?

I think the steps you need to go through in E-SYS are:

Connect to the M4.
Open TAL Calculating view.
Read and save the FA (vehicle order).
Edit the FA and change the Typschlüssel to 4S93 (or 4S91 if euro model).
Calculate FP to make sure FA is valid. If not maybe need to change the Zeitkriterium to a newer date and/or remove some options.
Once FP sucessfully calculated, save new FA.
Return to TAL Calculating view and load vehicle order from the saved file.
Activate loaded FA.
Read Actual SVT and save.
Select Complete Flash and click Calculate.
Save Target SVT.
Post here zip of FA (you can remove the VIN), SVT Actual and SVT Target and we should be able to figure out what SWFL / CAFD modules are used in the GTS.

I THINK that is right, please correct me if I'm off on the steps.

Thanks for the instructions I'm waiting for my client to finish showing his car to a potential buyer but should be able to do this very soon.

Nice job.

Not having an M4 (wah wah) not entirely sure of the ECU designations but presumably the DCT ECU is the EGS4 and it has 1 software difference between the 2 SVT files. The standard M4 uses swfl_00001f70 whereas the GTS variant uses swfl_000038c1, however the hardware (ECU) appears to be the same with the same boot loader.

Who is going to be man enough to flash their M4 DCT ECU with the GTS variant?? No guarantees, but given the boot loader is the same, the path back from the dark side should be as simple as flashing it back with 1F70?? Dunno??

I've got a couple clients who most likely will be willing to try this.
Just need step-by-step instructions and I'll find your Guinea Pig wink2

Yes, I knew the M4 has the EGS4 but wasn't sure that it was the DCT ECU but it seemed to be the only possibility. I own an E92, so I'm not so familiar with the F series cars.

If you still have the car, can you perform the same steps but use the original FA? That will give us a target file for the car to start from and it will be a simple edit to update. Also, Calculate the TAL too and post that.
