Hello everybody, I am stuck here. I have a Mercedes W163 that doesn't have an ecu.so I get one (key set) from a working ML320 but when I put it in this car it shows start error but when I put it back on its original car it starts without a problem. every thing in these cars are identical except the donor car is labeled ML320 and the one without ecu is Brabus. oh and on ml320 all plugs go into the AAM module but on Brabus there is no plug going to one socket see attached. how can I make this to work please help.

Maybe ecu with emulator,open and you can find

If ecu has emulator wouldn't it start in any vehicle? but I took all parts from the other car. the AAM, fusebox,ecu, key ring and key

With emulator dont need data from AAM

One more question, if I am taking an ecu from ml320 to another what do I need to transfer with it in order for the second car to start? ECU,TRANSPONDER PICK UP COIL,AAM. What else??.......

Thanks Boss, I checked the ecu it doesn't have emulator so I will check the wiring and let you know the outcome

Solved! as it turns out this car was on of the tsunami victims, the owner didn't disclose this when he brought it in. but when I looked close to the plugs they had rust and some were broken that's when he told me that the car was in tsunami and he imported it like that! so we changed the entire wiring harness now the car is like new.
