ICOM A2 dead?
Hi, I need some advice please.
After programming an e90 with ISTA-P (full update) my ICOM a2 now seems dead... Programming was successful but now when I plug in the ICOM a2 the system light is blinking orange and lan is not working. In Windows my Ethernet adapter shows 'unidentified network' and never gets an IP address and nothing shown in itool radar. Shall I throw in the bin and upgrade to ICOM Next or is there a solution? Thanks. |

RE: ICOM A2 dead?
Thanks, I feared so. I have ICOM A (first generation) collecting dust so I will use that for a bit.
I may try to reball the IC myself as one last try if there is no easy fix Thanks again. |

RE: ICOM A2 dead?
Hmm, strange.
I tried to change ICOM to static_ip using the user.settings file in USB and everything came back to life. I've no updated firmware and set it back to DHCP and its work fine. System light is still flashing orange. I guess due to FAN and WIFI test failing. I don't remember it doing this before however. Oh well. Seems to be working ok... |

RE: ICOM A2 dead?
Ok so more research. I think the MCU may be getting hot. This A2 is a clone and has no heatsink.
Anyone know where I can buy one? |
