Hi
Couple days to hitting head to wall i get it to work...

situation is that icom not work with normal router method, it need wifi AP routing mode, so here is solution if u dont have ap router:

Download virtual ap software >>here<< (or elsewhere some other if you want) install and run it and make automatic hot spot connection with your icom settings and dont select internet sharing.
thats all u need to wifi diagnostics with icom.

RE: ICOM Wifi connection manual
For SD Connect and Icom I use usb wifi dongles. I have the internal adapters free to connect to internet and no conflicts with intel.

RE: ICOM Wifi connection manual
Hi,

simply buy e.g. Huawei E5330 3G Mobile WiFi Hotspot Router it costs only ~40 Euro and will work on Battery but also with USB-Power. It can be used without SIM-Card.

Finaly you have a fully blown real AP that will work in your garage.

RE: ICOM Wifi connection manual
FIRST YOU MUST MAKE ICOM WIRELESS. 2 OPTIONS. INTERNAL CARD WITH CHIPSET Atheros AR9160 AND SECOND OPTION EASIER WIFI DONGLE NO MATTER THE BRAND. IT MUST HAVE INSIDE CHIPSET RT5572. FOR EXAMPLE TP-LINK TL-WDN3200 N600 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter. WITH THE SECOND OPTION YOU DON'T HAVE TO OPEN THE ICOM. JUST PLUG TO USB WAIT FOR THE WLAN LED OF ICOM TO FLASH SOMETIMES AND RESTART ICOM. IN ORDER THE WLAN TO BE ENABLED IN BOTH CASES THE NETWORK CABLE MUST BE DISCONNECTED BEFORE POWERING ON THE ICOM. THEN YOU NEED AN ACCESS POINT YOU CAN DOWNLOAD TO YOUR PC AN APPLICATION LIKE VIRTUAL ROUTER. OR BUY AND CONNECT TO A FREE USB A TINY WIFI DONGLE TO BE ALWAYS CONNECTED TO USB PORT OF YOUR LAPTOP. FOR EXAMPLE TP-LINK TL-WN725N AT THE MAKERS SOFTWARE ENABLE AP MODE. GIVE A NAME TO YOUR AP AND PASSWORD AND THEN WHILE CONNECTED WITH ETHERNET CABLE (ICOM-PC) GO TO ICOM WEB SERVER PAGE AND AT WLAN TAB ENTER THE NAME AND THE PASSWORD OF YOUR AP. IF YOU DECIDE TO INSTALL INTERNAL WIFI CARD AT ICOM A2 INSTALL THE ANTENNAS UNDER THE RUBBER PADS AND NOT INSIDE THE CASE . OTHERWISE YOU WILL HAVE ONLY ABOUT 1 METER RANGE. I MOVED THE ANTENNAS OUT OF THE CASE UNDER THE RUBBER PADS AND IT WORKS FLAWLESSLY AT 6 METERS WITH WIFI DONGLE AS AP AT MY LAPTOP.

Hi.

I have x230t with intel centrino n6205, I try config native NetSH but no work.
I enter netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=ICOMWIFI key=XXXXXX

netsh wlan start hostednetwork

and no work I look Itoolradar and not appear

I run
netsh wlan show hostednetwork

number clients=0
think
of course within the icom also configure the correct parameters, but does not appear.

Any ideas or suggestions?
