Contacted Schumacher only to find out they do not support this model after 1 year warranty period.

Took it apart and found that the power cord ends were attached using spade connectors, which were loose causing my shut downs. After correcting that issue it has been perfect for last couple of years.

+1 I love my INC-700a and have been using it for years.

SnapOn even contracts Schumacher to make the EEBC-500 which is an INC-700a with a nice cart and built in power plugs for additional accessories.

RE: Which power supply for programming
From my experience , the consumers at programming/coding when i use winkfp and istap , never operated at the same time. at some time the wipers will operate the lights and sunroof one buy one and istap always inform you prior of each operation for safety. when i program or update a car i shut off all consumers. I connect the power supply which at the begging may saw 7-8 amp draw. In 10 minutes till you prepare - load istap for E series it will be 3-4amp. the voltage should be adjusted for cars before 2007 14.5v max and for newer cars 14.8v max. I always adjust 14.4v. at an E series during a full programming and coding never exceeded 26 amp. At an F series never gone beyond 38amp again for full coding and programming. These are from my experience. Sorry no experience for 7 series. And just a reminder always first remove the negative and if connecting the negative should be connected last.
