XZBMW  Ista D vs ISTA P
Hello guys.
I have a bmw e46 1999.
I am trying to diagnose my car,but i failed untill now.
I installed ISTA-D....but it seems it doesnt read my ECU.
PErhaps it is not compatible with my car.
Will ISTA-P help?
Thank you all.
Have a nice day.

EDIT Post 06.07.2016

I downloaded both ista-d and ista-p from this post:
http://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=15589

I have use this tipps at instalation:

"""
Rheingold :
Unpack, for examle in D:\Rheingold, unpack and copy SQLiteDBs in Rheingold\SQLiteDBs\, run RCleanerV4.3.exe from Tools folder.
Apply ISTA-D Reg Fix for your system (x86 or x64) from Tools folder.
Run D:\Rheingold\TesterGUI\bin\Release\ISTAGUI.exe.
If ask license, enter it from License.txt file. Enter 1 in ISIS field, ignore error and press ok.
"""

What i did extra:

In Device manager...i changed the port to 9...latency 1..
In the Ediabas.ini....I opened with Notepad...and made some adjustments..as port..interface...etc.

I do not get any errors...but i get this screen:

In the pas i used 1 month INPA 5.02....but it was in german..
The language destroyed my success with the diagnose program.

Can anybody help me out to set up ISTA-D please?
Thank you for your support.

Okay. K+DCAN can not read k-line so you need this cable:

Ista-d VCI config: ediabas

Setup com-port correctly.

right driver for interface installed? "from supplied CD?"

Ore you modified the cable.

Hello mate.
That cable i can not buy..because i have no slot inside my car for it.
I only got the 20 pins under the hood.

I belive i have found 2 problems..Please corrrect me if i am wrong.

1.
I can not edit OBD.ini to set the COMP port to 9
Because i don't have a OBD.ini file

2.
In Ediabas.INI the TCP remote host is LMUC203404
Is that correct?

Here is my EDIABAS config file..after i edited it:

RE: Ista D vs ISTA P
You must use that cable between 20 pin and K+DCan.

RE: Ista D vs ISTA P
You need the OBD.ini and you need to connect pin 7 + 8 in the K+DCAN
