Can you or anyone please explain how to apply the delta files without using the launcher that some of us dont have ? Someone mentioned to modify the SQLiteDBs map ? thank you.

I have updateded ISTA+ to 3.56.31 version and putted db's updates to the folder. But ISTA+ see previous version of sqlite db.

Should I change some setting to see updated DELTA database ?
I have also included registry key.

Thanks for any advice what I am doing wrong.

i have found one post that I think mentions to merge the delta dBs with the parent dBs. How to do it is another matter and either its super easy, probably why no one has answered, or most use that launcher ... For now, I am using the older version of the dBs.

The merge process appears to be done outside of the ISTA msi installer. How does it get done at a dealer? With this Launcher program? Seems it shouldn't be too difficult to extract the merge part from whatever program is used to do it.

I think so, Here's the post i referenced above http://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.ph...#pid170158. There are tools to merge dBs but not simple if you don't understand the procedure or the dB setup.

Not sure what it means to copy inside the SQLiteDBs map, unless he means the directory...Nope, that doesn't do anything.

In that post I think they are referencing that the istapackage contains the whole db (which is only true for the first release in a series). The smarts must be in the launcher to use a merge file and then update the existing dbs.

I found the code that updates the database with the merge package. Should not by too difficult to pull that code out into a utility we can use to do the same thing without needing the launcher installed.
