Hi All,

this may have already been asked but after installing BMW Rheingold 3.41 on Win 7 I connected it to my car via usb and ran software and got the following error

Unable to identify vehicle.

Please check vehicle communication interface and vehicle ignition (must be set to ON).

have tried different settings but still get the same error any help appreciated

First find out if you have connection between car and computer through INPA. If at INPA it shows two black dots then you have connection. Next make sure to open IFHSRV32.EXE before starting rheingold

I just tried my rheingold 3.39 on a 2003 325I with a cylinder 4 & 6 misfire. When I went through the test plan, on the stage where it shows "Procedure" it is blank. No document is showing. When I try to click "next" all I see is a "1 - yes" or a "2 - no". It's like it is not showing the documentation. Maybe I am missing some files that are not included in this software I download. If somebody can help me on this problem. Thanks

It is the same for me on Rheingold 3.39, 3.40 and 3.41

This version is incomplete, it is either not set up correctly or missing a lot of files - completely useless when you need to go further with diagnostics.

Only the initial scan works, when you need to troubleshoot nothing on it works.

If you use a cable D-KAN then translate connection on Ediabas 7.3.0 with another will not work. Пропиши in the settings of the port 6801 in Ediabas ini/ All works.

I did this to show that this system is incomplete and doesn't work like it should.

On ISTA-D 2.30 scanning the same car with one fault in CAS this is what you get:





then as you can see you can go in and diagnose the issue through a range of tests:








Tests complete (shown by green dot)



Now the same car same fault on Rheingold (3.39, 3.40, or 3.41 all the same results)




Then as you click "Display" to further diagnose the issue ... you get blank screens (or in version 3.41 the "Display" does not even light up)

Hi again finally was able to get passed the connection issue but still unable to get vehicle test button to work just grayed out.

Also vehicle details do not show when you run the test....

loosing the will to live now..

must be doing something serious wrong, any help welcome.

Hi Guys just an update installed Rheingold 3.41 on rebuilt pc and all works fantastically well, software installed in the following order:

Standard_Tools_Setup 2.12
BMWRheingoldISTA3.msi
Copy License.xml & RheingoldCoreFramework.dll into Rheingold 3.41 in Program files

Job Done - hope this helps
