RE: Gear box problem
Dear BoNzO,
in my experience, the feeling is like harsh or soft, likely caused by mechanical problem, but when you get the code P0700 it's meaning your car have a problem with A/T, so go to TCM and then check. Besides, U0101: TCM communication problem, checking TCM supply or communication line is my priority.
Best Regards.

Who?

Yes they have all introduced themselves, as to the rules.... dontknow

Nothing has been posted where the rules would come into play. smile

If someone took the time to help you, the least you can do is take a few seconds and press two buttons!

RE: Gear box problem
Well, it's been almost a year and a half he's been here. A little late now.

Now there is a plugin where people can't post anywhere till they do introduce themselves, so nothing to worry about anymore. biggrin

Thanks.

RE: Gear box problem
Are you on the latest TCM software? If so you will receive a check engine light and the shifts will be very slow. I had the same transmission issues with my 2012 ford focus with the DCT gearbox. I took it in to my dealer for the update and the next day I got the CEL. I returned to the dealer who was then able to replace the TCM under the extended warranty that Ford offered to everyone (if you are the original owner you should have received a letter about it).

The dealers need the code so they can replace the TCM. After replacement of the latest version of the TCM my car is shifting well.
