E60/E61 Terminal 15 off after Jump Start - SOLVED!
Hello!
Today my battery died, so I jump started my 2006 E61 525D on the front hood terminals. However it did´t work out at the first try because it came up the ELV lock light and steering wouldn´t unlock. After resetting ELV with Ista-D/Rheingold, the car started, but with plenty of lights on and plenty modules not working (ABS, Airbag, CID, etc). After and entire afternoon trying to figure out what the problem is, I found out that TERMINAL 15 (KL15) 12v is not present and by that motive, the modules come up with an error: no power supply. CAS should send signal for KL15 to activate but dont... Does anyone have experienced this issue? Thanks in advance. |

Have you checked all the fuses nicely.........? I would check them once again just in case you have not missed any blown fuses.......

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!
In order to help other I will describe what I did: Following member DARMAND advice I´ve checked the blue relay close to DME Ecu and tested it. It was ok. Then I´ve checked 30g relay also, located on rear fuse box, also OK, after that, since I´m an IT guy and rebooting solves most of the problems... I´ve disconnected and reconnected ALL the plugs on rear fuse box. After that... ALL is 100% Working!!!! I know it´s not a proper technical explanation for what happened but it sorted my problem caused by a short circuited IBS followed by a jump start. Thanks a lot for those that tried to help. |
