Two computers I installed ISTA-P did this... installation went fine, runs fine with ICOM... then after some computer restarts, ISTA P cannot be found by ISTA P loader. What is going on? Only way to fix is to extract all data again.

Anyone run into this?

"For whatever reason the new launcher 6.1 sometimes erases the "DataProcurement" folders from the folders labeled "BMW" & "TAURUS" inside the ISTA-P installation folder on your C drive.

Copy the "DataProcurement" folder into to the appropiate folder labeled in download."

I have a problem with this that I haven't been able to solve after re-reading the FAQ several times and hours of googling.

ISTA/D works fine. ISTA/P gives the following error when I try to read a car with my real (non-clone) ICOM:

94201 Technical service initialization failed
3017 (CoAPi) coapiKflinit() failed

Sometimes it has the additional error:
-2

Anybody have any ideas?

I found the solution. The FAQ was a bit confusing, because it only showed how to set up the network with a wireless connection to the ICOM. I sorted it by assigning an appropriate IP address to my ethernet adapter and it worked as expected. If anybody else runs into the same problem, look at your ICOM on itools radar. If your ICOM's IP is 192.168.50.20, for example, set your ethernet adapter to 192.168.50.4 (the last digit can be anything but 1 or 255, as long as it's not the same as the ICOM).

I would recommend that anybody without the russian language packs installed grabs their own copies of the visual C++ redists. At least one, I think the 2008 one, threw an error.

When ICOM is connected directly with PC, then is need to set up for ICOM and network card fixed IP or use APIPA. DHCP (client) use only with routher.

Both ISTA/D and /P have been working so far great for me on E and F series. But now i have to program a few modules on a '15 i3 and I am lost. When i open the ISTA/P loader and choose i vehicles, it starts up and finds the VIN, but after that it cycles for a long time and finally gives error. I then installed the SDP, but when i try to use it in ISTA/D I get message to run the vehicle test first. Even if I run the test again it will still display the message. I use ICOM A1 and the diagnostic runs just fine with this car.

Anyone run into the API-0006 Access Denied error in Ista-D and the error the interface could not be reserved 72121 error in Ista-p.

ncs, inpa and dr.gini all detect the icom a2 as well as ista-d 3.47. iv been trying for weeks but cant figure this out. thanks in advance.

ISTA-D started successfully and I have connection to the car - E70.
but I need to upgrade few modules and need to use ISTA-P.
I followed all instructions and installed Patched_EDIABAS_7.3.0.msi from the tools.
But when I start ISTA-P from BMW ISTA-P Loader V6.1F.exe and click on the K+DCAN usb interface - the following error pop up : ERROR - Ediabas 7.3 not found. Please install it and restart the loader.
Can you help me please. I spent several hours reading all the manuals again and again but cannot find what I am missing.
do I need to install something in addition to Patched_EDIABAS_7.3.0.msi ?
any configuration which I could check ?

I think I found some working variant.
I copied the content of E:\ISTA-P\BMW\Environment\EDIABAS over the installation of C:\EDIABAS which came from Patched_EDIABAS_7.3.0.msi .
I don't know if all is correct but its working for now
