I tweaked ISTAGUI.exe to automatically open in the following resolutions:

1024x768
1280x800
1366x768
1440x900
1600x900
1920x999

Simply replace the original ISTAGUI.exe with one to match your resolution and it will automatically open full screen.

Spider80 if I could say thanks 100 times I would. Such a detailed tutorial easy to follow. Only problem I had with ISTA-D it wouldn't identify F-car using ICOM head. So what I did is switched to NO for "Ethernet as preferred communication channel when connected via ICOM" in Administration > VCI Config. This solved the problem
