Did try it in a retrofitted Q5 and it deleted all my map keys ... can't install backup of last key anymore
Meaning my maps ain't working at the moment anymore till I have found out why

AUDI MMI FW UPDATE 942
In the official manual it describes you have to Backup the keys in the red menu on sd card before Update. now you have the problem.

Now you can pay audi for map update 2017 many $$$

Or hacktivate the map with vlasoff activation. If you Google the two words you will find a place to download. Dont know where it is here

You can install straight - I did from 0097 -> 0900 on A7 3GP with SIM last year

As a total newbie. Will this suit for 2010 A6C6? I Believe I have MMI 3G plus (with HDD).
Data that I know currently SW ver: HNav_EU_P0022_D1; Nav db version: 8R0060884J ECE 5.10.5
