[SOLVED] How to test the throttle body motor in VW passat 2.0TDI?
Ok guys.
I have a VW Passat 2.0TDI engine CBAB year 2008. Also have a DTC: P2102 - Throttle Actuator Control Motor Circuit Low - Intermittent. P2111 - Throttle Actuator Control System - Stuck Closed - Intermittent The flap is actually open if I start the engine even if they is a P2111 DTC. I also put the ignition on and wait several seconds ( around 30sec ) to see is the throttle body flap closing and opening but nothing happens. Checked with voltmeter the reference voltage from the ECU. Reference voltage is 5V. It's ok. Moved the flap by hand and measured the voltage output to ECU from throttle body control module and the voltage is changing as I change the flap angle. The reading is with open flap around 4.8V and with a closed flap to around 0.5V. This should also be ok. Also checked for resistant of the motor powering wire which is around 25Ohm which should also be ok. But, how can I start the motor on the bench? Is it PWM driven or ? I think the motor is the cause why I got that error and the car is actually in some safe mode.. Andy idea pls. Thank you and my best regards. |

Problem solved.
This motor is a simple brushless DC 12V motor. My best regards. |
