we have 2 cars, a F11 2010 and a F22 2014 in both I retrofitted an Evo with ID6 and while driving often they a resetting.
When it happens, navigation is running, and sometimes they reset after 10 minutes and sometimes it takes an hour. First the screen turns to black, the sound stops and then it resets and is starting up with the same adjustments and music titles as we started this drive.
The Evos are both HW3.1 one with and one without DAB. Actually one is with psdz 59 and the other with 59.4.
Emulators I tried was that one from carsystems and chinese ones, but all with the same result and all especially for Evo.
What I also tried was ID5, a third Evo with psdz 58.2, but all do the same.

Is here anyone who has the same issues or better knows a solution for it?

I use Carsystems emulators and have not experienced the issues you are having on those F series.
Done a few prefacelift with the MOST emulator no such issues
Done a few with the simple CAN bus emulator on the facelift did not have such issues either.
Make sure your Carsystems emulators have the latest firmware.

As for the chinese emulator, no comment really. Should not be in those cars in the first place

If different emulators produce the same results I would tend to think this has little to do with the actual emulators.

Anyway I would recommend you:
1. Make sure the firmware is up to date
2. Make sure your FDL coding is correct
3. Get in touch with the emulator's manufacturer to get advice

If these are Gxx EVO units, you must flash with Rueko Fxx firmware as the gateway table is different for Gxx fimrware.

If you use old HW ID4 converted to ID5 (flashed with ID5 firmware), old HW has 2GB of RAM and ID5 software requires 4GB that's why when navigation starts it requires more resources and map freezes for few secs then EVO reboots.

Have not experimented this on any of my customer's cars and every single unit is converted from ID4. I have my own id4 converted to id6 in my own car since the last while, never the Evo froze or rebooted on me with and without nav on.

I only use HW 2.3 units, that might be happening on older units, I don't know

Yes sure but that would not achieve anything on a prefacelift F series where a most emulator is required, unless you want to start messing with changing ZGW and CAS module on even earlier F10 for example.

Plus emulators do other things such as video in motion, aftermarket camera input and other features that the car may or not have.

Mine have 2.3, it was wrong what I wrote in my first post.

For all with this issue:
I keept searching a long time and it seems up to HW2.8 they only have 4GB RAM like shawnsheridan wrote and so with the ID5 or ID6 it´s less RAM to use it with all functions. "card zoom" sems to be a function what is very RAm hungry, in our F11 it is disabled and it only resets once in 2-3 weeks and in the F22, where it is enabled, it is resetting once in a hour. Now we try this function disabled in the F22 and I will give feedback.
