try this:
1. goto c:\program files...\mercedes-benz\DAS\bin
2. rename gbf folder to gbf_ori
3. copy the 09-2016 gbf to c:\program files...\mercedes-benz\DAS\bin

Wrong or malunction diag cable between SDConnect and vehicle.
Wrong vehicle selected with direct entry into DAS (try with xentry).
Wrong configuration used or wrong patch used.

And last option, you need to update firmware of your SDConnect. sweating

Is it new firmware version for C4 in 12.2016 ? I have seen some C4 modification for 12.2016 which had old firmware ? Something changed since firmware 7.2016 ? Sorry if question was answered in other thread on forum.

If you got 07/2016 firmware then update is required for 12/2016. If you go from 09/2016 to 12/2016, no update is required.
