Hi Spider80, i've a question for you. Are SDP data already in ISTA P? I found a folder wich seems to be the same.... path is ista-p\bmw\services\data\ecudata\psdzdata\..... if those be the same i can make a symbolic link because my Hard Disk is almost full!

I am not sure about this version, but other releases have some differences. Easiest way to check is to use program like Beyond Compare. It will quickly analyze and display differences. |

They are equivalent, but have difference from each other. If U don't programming via ISTA-D don't use it. Or change registry and use from ISTA-P. For example : [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\BMWGroup\ISPI\Rheingold] "BMW.Rheingold.Programming.PsdzDataPath"="d:\\bmw\\ista-p\\bmw\\services\\data\\ecudata" |

RE: Rheingold 4.03.13 Standalone / SDP 4.02.31 / ISTA-P 3.60.2.001 Torrent
Hey,
Installed within instructions and both programs P and D start up normally. However im getting a ERROR: The vehicle could not be identified. Please check the access to the vehicle and check whether the testing-analysis-diagnosis has been activated. This is when im trying to read with ISTA-D and i tried ISTA-P but it couldnt find my VIN number so i didnt go forward. I tried a few different drivers for my K+DCAN OBD with a manual switch and now have the newest FTDI 2.12.24 for win 7-64bit. One thing im confused about is i have C:EDIABAS where i changed the obd.ini normally. But there is also a RHEINGOLD/EDIABAS folder where i didnt change. should i ? Any suggestions? |

As you know the Chinese clones use fake chips the most Secondlly Check in Device Manager on which com port was allocated for the K-DCAN Change it if its need on com 9 ( default in EDIABAS/BIN/obd.ini ) Then reboot and check again if you can go ahead Good luck |

(23-12-2016, 17:23 PM)Niilopi Wrote: Hey, As Spider80 said, Don't change the Rheingold/Ediabas folder. The ediabas inside Rheingold will automatically adapt with your "C:/Ediabas/". If you are trying to connect to a 2007+ BMW, this issue can easily be solved by running the K-DCAN Utility. Also, your cable may need to have pins 7+8 soldered together for this to work. If your connecting to any early BMW <-2000 chances are that your cable is not supporting K-line, unfortunately most china clones don't. Read this article regarding fake FTDI clones: LINK I don't have a lot of information regarding your issue, but here is the general tips from me. Try this at your own risk:
*Try to download the modded FTDI drivers attached to this post, connect your cable and install them. Remove any previous installed drivers *Uninstall any previous versions of Ediabas, if you want, backup the files instead of removing. Just make sure that folder is gone from your C drive. *Install the "7.3.0 Patched Ediabas" link below. *Try not to change any of the parameters inside Ediabas.ini or OBD.ini, if it doesn't work - make sure that you only change one parameter at the time, to avoid messing anything up and loosing track of recent changes. Optionally you can reinstall BMW_Standard_Tools_2.12 and setup your cable setup again. *Try to use another USB port on your computer, preferably a USB 1.1 or 2.0. (I'v read somewhere that some USB 3.0 controllers wont work with K+DCAN cables) *Download USBDeview (google it), Check properties inside the program for your K+DCAN cable. Post the information here as an image. *As a last resort, check under BIOS settings for USB options, it might be some odd setting like "Legacy emulation" or similar. Don't change any BIOS setting if you are uncertain. *Lastly, try downloading M_Prog or CANHacker tools and check your actual cable and chip. Don't use these tools if your don't know what they do. *If it still doesn't work, accept your loss and go order a new working cable from a well known supplier like One Stop Electronics. *Good luck! |
