I just wanted to share with you my experience about the problem I had with my own Renault Megane FY 05.2013.

A few weeks ago the heating blow motor just stopped working and in order to get a little hot air I had to knock the car into road holes to excite the fan motor electrical contacts. That was pretty destructive for the car.

After going to several second hand workshops and asking also into authorized Renault dealers in my country, the only answer I got from them was: We have to pull off the entire instrument front panel in order to gain access to the fan. Basically that intervention was going to cost me more than the fan itself.

And so in an uncomfortable situation such as driving without heat in the middle of the winter I decided to open it myself. And so I did, I went to the nearest workshop and started disassembling the entire front panel in order to remove the fan. So after 3-4 hours dismounting every single screw we ended up to nothing. Under the front panel there was no access to the fan.

The solution was much easier, after reassembling all the dismounted parts (including, instrument panel, airbags, air hoses, electrical connectors and so on...) all we did was, dismounting the accelerator and braking pedals.

After that, you just had to twist the blower pull it off its fitted position and then twist it again in order to take it out without breaking the plastic parts.

I tried to fix the one I had which was not working but without success, so I replaced it with a new one.

I hope this information was helpful for anyone that has had problems such as mine with Renault Megane, as from the moment I had this issue after days and weeks searching for the removal instructions, I couldn't find any thing related on the net.

It is a megane 2 just take the BRAKE pedal and accelerator and bit more to extract the engine ok

About one month ago, I was repaired heater blower motor on megane II, when I was found where it is, I said to my self oh my got, but you must remove accelerator pedal (steering wheel on the left) and then its very easy to remove it out, I replaced new brushes, then the fan is working as good as new A dont know, maybe one hour work

I have same problem Megane III 2011 mode, left hand modell. My heater fan very noisly. I just need remove clutch and brake pedal? I not remove instrument cluster, and central console?
