Hi there,
as you can read in topic i got a Problem with cic mid Navigation Computer.

I wanted to update the maps to 2015-2 my Problem ist that the cic is a 8gb Version to works with 2013 maps Not with 2015. I tried to update to 2015 and IT stops at 77% now my navi is a Bit crazy.

Navigation doesnt Work, PDC doesnt Work proper. Ive tried to delete maps trough tool32 But havent success.

Did someone got a solution to repair the cic mid, or i have to buy New one?

I have the same problem with a F07 and CIC MID 8GB unit, it stopped at 77%, I didn´t found a solution yet, I hope this can be repaired somehow, but so far it looks like a new unit is needed..

So wich map is correct to CIC MID ?

Depends on your location, but on units built 2009 or earlier you can´t update to 2015 (and 2014?), or you will "destroy" your CIC..

But why ? maybe shoudl upadte HW in CIC via ISTA ?

Cic mid (8gb) can be updaten till 2013.

Units before 03.2010 got only 8gb Flash memory for Maps, After that the build in 16gb Flash memory.

Saturday i will test something with ista to rescue the cic, But i think we must buy a New one

So even when you have new bmw f07 from 01.2010 and u will go to your dealer he seys you "sorry my man you can update only to 2013.." ? old cars / system like mmi have updates untill 2015 and more ... and brand new bmw cant update to 2015 ? i think there is a solution for this

Yes, i can put the maps on the 8GB also but its lots of work, before do update you must delete maps with telnet qnx command

Can you help me with that command? I have same expierence. Cic mid had 2010 maps, wanted to put 2015-2 east, generated FSC bla bla, cic restarted, no progress bar, no navi map version displayed, and maps booted from usb stick, I can see maps, but when I remove usb it says, put it back to continue updates. So any solution?
