Yes you can use this update and proceed as told in the manual on the first post from darkdll. Use Update instructions for MMI 3G v1.7 (New Version 2017) and read manual carefully

Can someone guide me to update my map. I bought USA 2016 q5 with 3gplus HN+_US_AU3G_P0925 and map 8R0060884DG NAR 6.13.2 I want to put EU map. Do I have to flash firmware from OP or can just update map data. What I read is to make emergency update and change internal region code to rest of the world and check ignore region and variant. Then to flash mapa and patch it. Is this correct or should I change some other things also? How to change units to km and C from miles and F. I do have VCDS and obdeleven as well. Thanks in advance

Best is when you change US Software to EU Software like K942. You have to mark ignore region and variant. Also you have to mark "user definied mode"

You also have to change the eeprom with a tool called vag can pro (VCP), and change the visible languages with ZDC Uploader. Otherwise in worst case you can get a screen without letters on it, or when you change the language you can end up there.

TMC is not working out of the box, there you have to change also some things.

Next problem could be the Phone Module, sometimes the US Units have other Phone Module inside, because of different signal bands, you can get only Edge or GSM Network. You have to try... if not, you have to buy an EU Unit and replace your US Unit. Component Protection can be copyied with Vag Can Pro

Hi, sorry if wrong post, I didn't found a separate topic for VW RNS850 new V11 maps. I know RNS 850 is the same as MMI 3GP system. Can I use new activator (with audi screens) from first post in order to activate V11 on RNS 850? Thanks

Hello everyone.
I have updated firmware and map HN+_ EU_AU3G_K0942_3 / 8R0060884ED ECE 6.24.2
I followed the instructions in the Post # 1, thanks to the work of many of you
Performed an emergency update and reinstalled the current version HN+_ EU_AU3G_K0767 (first and second update)
Intalled version HN+_ EU_AU3G_K0942_3
Removed previous map and partition from green menu
Map installed ECE_HI_R_6_24_2_build1
Activated the map with Keldo's activator
Show VIN number in MMI menu-not done because the value is already set to 7 instead of 5 and the number displayed is correct
Removed error "03276" with VCDs
Report Error "3623" in the ECU 5F
Remove error "03623"-the mode described in the manual doesn't work, after a little the error reappears.
Error "03623" removed with script
Now everything works except Google, only the G becomes white, the rest of the Google remains in gray.
Any ideas?

You have to perform a manual reinstall of the firmware. I Don't remember exactly but ithink you have to reinstall the gemmi folder. [WINKING FACE]
