Ista 4.03.21 Delete Fault Memory Issue
It seems that with the new update, deleting the fault memory does a terminal change. Im having an issue and not sure if its a problem everyone is having...
On F series cars, everything works fine, it does an "automatic" terminal change. However on E series, it instructs to do a manual terminal change. The issue comes in with when I do the terminal change on the E series, it doesnt detect that I completed it, forcing to me to click "cancel". If I want to see what faults remain after the delete, I have to run another vehicle test.... Any ideas? |

"E" car you have to do terminal change (key off/on) manually.

Don't hit cancel, just push the start/stop to turn off ignition then push again to turn it back on and ista will continue

I use icom not sure if it's different with k+dcan cable since it cant tell the ignition position. Try another e series. |

I think the Problem is your interface.
You can test it with INPA. With a good Interface you can see, whether ignition is on or off. BMW F07 535ix GT (09/16)
BMW E61 530xi touring (07/05) BMW E39 528i (10/97) BMW E36 323i touring (03/99) Suzuki GSX750S Katana (1985) |

USB does not detect and inform ista about KL15\30 status, so it doesnt know that you have cycled the ignition..... |

RE: Ista 4.03.21 Delete Fault Memory Issue
Im using USB so that explains it, its not detecting terminal change....
I have no need for an ICOM since I use Winkfp & Esys for flashing... I guess I have to stick with the Cancel method or backdate to 4.01 and deal with Fasta again...I hate fasta so Ill probably stick with 4.03 I know we patched out fasta, is there by chance a way to patch out the terminal change in the delete fault memory function or revert the delete fault memory function back to 4.01 style? |

RE: Ista 4.03.21 Delete Fault Memory Issue
I had the same problem with E70. It is not detecting the terminal change and I had to hit the cancel to get out of it.
I hope someone will find a solution for this. |
