RE: BMW Standard Tools 2.12 - WinKFP, NCSExpert, INPA, Tool32, etc
I think I have it all installed well now...

For this step below, when updating the Daten.... Should I name that folder E89 or E90 or does it even matter. Its a 2008 328i I am trying to code for a new agm battery.

copy C:\NCSEXPER\DATEN\E##\*.000 C:\NCSEXPER\DATEN\
copy C:\NCSEXPER\DATEN\E##\*.DAT C:\NCSEXPER\DATEN\
copy C:\NCSEXPER\DATEN\E##\*.ASC C:\NCSEXPER\DATEN\

A few questions...

1) Can I update the VO to CAS and FRM in expert mode? if not, what profile would I need?
2) Can I SG_Codieren to CAS in expert mode as well? Or would I need a profile with Manipulation enabled?
3) When registering the battery in tool32... Do I use the MSD80.prg file for a 2008 328i?

I would like to have expert mode profile with Man if anyone has it smile Still on the search...

RE: BMW Standard Tools 2.12 - WinKFP, NCSExpert, INPA, Tool32, etc
1.only expertmode
2. expertmode + sg_codieren = ecu to deflaut settings(factory)
3. yes but to be sure check what .prg use inpa to connect to your engine

2 i think you want code using .man file -use expertmode to read ecu and use manipulation to code or find revtors profile

Hey, thanks for that guide!
I'm only waiting for my INPA link to start the installhi

One thing though: I didn't see a PFL.zip on this topic. Am I mistaken? Which one should I use?

Just above is 3 profiles
change .pdf to .pfl and put them to ncsexper/PFL folder

Hallo,
thanks Mike for info, only Winzip accepted password .smile

Problem is that my interface doesnt see INPA. Battery and ignition cirkles are white.
During installation 3 or 4 times on Win7 64 Ultimate (always fresh C: partition) drivers from CD or FTDI Com (driveris Certified , so no red background in windows from device manager ) I receive always window-"driver installation failed", although windows from device manager say "driver is updated successfully".
I checked 2 USB ports(#1 hub#1 and #2hub#2 ) .I tried COM1 and Com2.
OBD.ini:
Port=Com1
Hardware=USB
RETRY=ON
;Tracelevel=0xFFFFFFFF
;Tracelevel=0xFFFFFFFF
;Tracelevel=0xF0000000
;Tracelevel=0x0000FFFF
; Bit 0 = Funktionsaufruf
; Bit 1 = io Ergebnis
; Bit 2 = nio Ergebnis
; Bit 3 = Detailinfos
; Nibble 0 = readchar_wait
; Nibble 1 = main
; Nibble 2 = cmd
; Nibble 3 = obd
; Nibble 4 = send_and_receive_...
; Nibble 5 = read_telegram_...
; Nibble 6 = send_telegram
; Nibble 7 = SendData

Ediabas.ini:
Interface =STD:OBD
Simulation = 0

EcuPath =C:\EDIABAS\ECU
SimulationPath =C:\EDIABAS\SIM
TracePath =C:\EDIABAS\TRACE
TraceSize = 1024

Inpa started from Inpaloader in EC-Apps and from desktop shortcut- nothink.

path C:\Program Files\Broadcom\Broadcom 802.11\Driver;;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;C:\Program Files\WIDCOMM\Bluetooth Software\;C:\Program Files\WIDCOMM\Bluetooth Software\syswow64;c:\ediabas\bin

I suspect my OBD II cable is corrupted.emo

Any suggestion?

Thanks Mike.

RE: BMW Standard Tools 2.12 - WinKFP, NCSExpert, INPA, Tool32, etc
If you dont want search and copy this files:
copy C:\NCSEXPER\DATEN\E##\*.000 C:\NCSEXPER\DATEN\
copy C:\NCSEXPER\DATEN\E##\*.DAT C:\NCSEXPER\DATEN\
copy C:\NCSEXPER\DATEN\E##\*.ASC C:\NCSEXPER\DATEN\
you can execute the .bat file inside the daten/Exx and automatic copy the all the files you need

Thanks for the upload's mate. FZG2 which displays as expert mode in NCS Expert is a version 2 profile and will not work with this version of NCSExpert. All other work properly. Thanks again for sharing with members of the forum. Good job.

Cheers!!

You right. Sorry for my mistake.
Corrected now.
I checked all that profiles while retrofitting lci xenon headlights to prelci halogen in E90 on two cars and some coding on E60.

Both dots are black even when the cable isn't plugged to the vehicle (but to the laptop) fail
