Can anyone share with me how to do personalization with ISTA/D or ISTA/P

RE: Personalization with ISTA
Do you mean coding? I haven't ever used SSS. Depending on what series vehicle you want to "personalize" there are different programs. For E-series cars, use a program call NCS Expert - for F and G series cars use a program called E-SYS.

I'm familiar with BMW Standard tools (NCS Expert/INPA/WINFKP/TOOL32) However, the dealer doesn't use this to do personalization I think. I know they use to use SSS/Progman but ISTA replace that. See this screenshot to give you an idea |

I'm fully aware that NCS expert(E series) and E-Sys(F series) are used for custom coding. (I have an e90 and did a lot of retrofits so I'm fully aware of NCS expert as I've used it alot) I was mostly asking if ISTA (D/P) allows for individualization like SSS did. Anyhow, It's no big deal. EDIT: Admin/MOD, if see fit please close and delete this thread. Regards, MI |

Pg. 67-70 of ISTA-P Documentation_P3.59 By customer request, various settings on the vehicle can be changed by means of encoding on certain series (e.g. E46, R53, RR1, , ). There are settings (Key) that are assigned to a certain spare key (maximum of four spare keys), e.g. heating / climate control / ventilation; other settings (Car) apply to the entire vehicle, e.g. anti-theft protection. The Car & Key Memory settings can be selected following determination of the native action plan in the "Vehicle" menu under the "CKM" tab. The "CKM" tab is only displayed for vehicles with Car & Key Memory. All the CKM settings available for the connected vehicle are displayed. NOTE: Due to different legal stipulations, there may be national differences in possible CKM settings. The car and/or key memory can be set depending on the series and options. Factory settings may also vary from country to country. NOTE: When replacing control units, it may happen that individual data in the CKM settings are not automatically restored. Before exchanging a control unit, the CKM values of the vehicle must be printed out so that they can be restored after the control unit exchange. BMW E70, E71, E72, E81, E82, E84, E87, E88, E89, E90, E91, E92, E93, F-, G-, and I-series MINI R55, R56, R57, R58, R59, R60, R61 Rolls-Royce RR4 and Series 2 (RR1, RR2 und RR3) All functions of the Car & Key Memory are set directly in the vehicle in these series (see Operating Instructions under "Personal Profile": Individual settings for a maximum of three remote control units via the display in the instrument cluster or via the Central Information Display). |
