BSI pin code and ECU pin code on Peugeot 307
Hi,
Just Ask. If I have a pin code on BSI, example ABCD, so the eeprom on the ecu also have the same pin code (ABCD), right ( in order to start the engine ) ? Then, my next question is : If I take another ecu ( which is coded as EFGH ) with the current BSI(ABCD), the engine can not start, right ? And, my last question is : If I install a new BSI, I should key in EFGH pin code to match another ecu ( which is coded as EFGH ), in order I can start the engine, right ? Thanks. Regards. |

RE: BSI pin code and ECU pin code on Peugeot 307
About Yes. But some older car ECU has not the PIN stored, only the data that matched to the BSI.
Yes. No. The BSI won't work by editing the PIN that way, must use diag tool and the BSI needs virgin state. |

Hi zmann, Question: If i Know the pin code in the BSI (ABCD ), then edit (eeprom) the pin code in the ecu ( from EFGH to ABCD ), the engine can start, right ? Question: By using diag tool and the BSI in virgin state, did the diag tool will ask the pins code ? ( if I don't know the pin code in ecu ) or the diag tool will auto reload the pin code from ecu and write to the BSI ? Thanks. Regards. |

(20-01-2017, 03:38 AM)ecupro Wrote:Yes BSI will ask for car pin code twice during programming. Pin code entry must be same pin code as in the engine ECU your going to use. Make sure you save all the vehicles configuration before making BSI virgin ! Your need to enter that all back into virgin BSI manually.(19-01-2017, 13:23 PM)zmann Wrote: About Yes.
