Hello to all.

I got a mystic problem with my car. When I drive my car or only Ignition is on I get an error in EGS no communication with PT-CAN. I have checked the cable and changed the ECU from the Gearbox. Now I wanted to program the car. Started ISTA/P and after he reads out the VO I get an error. The program tells me he have found ECU's that are not in the VO (like EGS). But the VO is fine. I checked it with the VIN Decoder an NCSExpert. After that he want to reanimate the JBE and asked me for the Part number. So I thought I need to replace it. I bought a new one. Installed it and tried again to program. But still the same. I wrote down the part numbers but when I type them in he ask me again for the part number of the JBE. When I read out with ISTA/D everything is fine... So I programmed and coded the JBE with WINKPF and NCS without any problem.
So I tried again ISTAP but again same problem... I think the problem with my EGS has something to do with this programming issue.
Can somebody help me? VIN is A298744

If pt-can wiring problem you will have a lot of faults.
Do you read your faults?
What says istad ?

Do you use an icom or d-can kable?

Are all other mdules original? Im thinking about CAS and FRM. If it is not original and or has been replaced, it might read incorrect FA from FRM. This will cause ISTA\P to behave this way. Just a thought, as I have experienced this behaviour with an E63 645i that had a light module from an E65. This caused ISTA to read the I-STEP from LM (because thats the primary FA storage) and expect to see a 7 series range of control units.

After disconnecting LM and read from FA Backup (CAS) it appeared correctly. Reconnected LM and programmed car.

1. Change the vin for the help of the programming WINKFPT
- You need to update files winkfpt SP-DATEN (before programming)
- JBE programujemu without the ignition key (SmartKey outside the car, but by turning winkfpr włuz key and turn the ignition to wake buses, pull out the key and only run winkfpt)
- Do not forget to type in the VIN Enter your correct vin
2. After programming, coding for a series of NCS JBE (ZGM)
- But before that will extract the FA vin and check whether it is correct
FA is stored in the FRM and CAS for e90
