I can not read the FA in e60 SOLVED
Good morning everyone
I have a constant error with my e60 from 2003, and it is that neither with ncs expert nor with ista-p (v3.59 with loader 6.1) I can read the FA from my car. I use a k + dcan cable of a certain reputation, it is not Chinese and the diagnostic programs go ok, both inpa and ista-d. In ncs the error that marks me is fa-fehler (in German "error FA") and with ista-p tells me that you can not read FA and that I have to import it from a pendrive. Say that both programs connect with the car and identify the vin. Reading a lot, a lot ... on some page yankee I have seen that the import is made from an .xml file that gives you the bmw through the online ASAP application, and I think I got one for my car, and I say I think because I have modified from the data of an .xml of another e60 with the data of my e60 that you leave in vindecoder. Well said this I get some doubts as I have no idea what happens next to give it to import. 1º.- My car is imported from Germany but the language I have in the car is Spanish, if I import the original data, it will automatically be updated and I will leave it in German? 2º.- I read that ista-p once it connects with the car and checks the modules, if it finds some with previous version updates it directly, is that true ?. This I ask because when using k + dcan I am afraid that some module will try to update and can stay hung. 3º.- If I have not had any mishap in the two previous points and the thing is still OK, the FA will remain recorded in the car? 4º.- because it may have been erased or because you can not read the FA of a vehicle ??, besides from what I have read, it is not something so unusual. To see if you can shed some light and thank you in advance. |

Looks like FA is deleted in both CAS and LM(there is no FRM in e60). You can ask someone to download the VO from BMW and you can import it, then you will be good to go.
