Yes, it is better to install DiagBox on a 32 bit system, and if you wish to use a Virtual Machine (like myself) then use Windows XP SP3, as it requires fewer resources.

Telecoding works for me in all DiagBox 7.83 and 8.17-8.38 (I have a Citroen C8 2.0 HDi).. Everyone needs to try DiagBox for himself, sometimes the problems are with the VCI or the car itself..

To overcome internet connection issue when Telecoding, follow this process:

Precaution: Ensure you take a snapshot of your configuration prior to making a change in case you need to revert to original settings.

1- Start DiagBox with Network disconnected
2- Select your car brand and model
3- Perform Global Scan
4- Select the Module you wish to configure (DiagBox will try to connect to PSA servers, then it will timeout and offer Manual Configuration),
5- Choose the item to be reconfigured, perform the changes and apply/save them.

Done!

Well done, is your VM VirtualBox or Workstation?
Ensure you have .NET 3.51 and VC++ 2008 and operate DiagBox as Administrator.

If you are using VirtualBox then close VirtualBox and start an Administrator's CMD, navigate to "C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\" and execute the following command:

C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox>VBoxManage setextradata "Your VM" "VBoxInternal/Devices/pcbios/0/Config/DmiSystemSerial" "System Serial"

Note: Replace "Your VM" with your Virtual Machine's name, and "System Serial" with your hardware's # or any code or text such as "CDN29326BH" or "DIAGBOX7".

For VirtualBox on the VirtualBox's Manager interface and in a folder on the Host Windows, here:
C:\Users\user-name\VirtualBox VMs\

For VMware on the Workstation interface Tabs or library side bar or the host Windows, here:
C:\Users\user-name\Documents\Virtual Machines\

For the serial number, enter your name in the light blue area or any other text instead of the words "System Serial".

I very much doubt that your virtual machine's name is "Virtual Win 7 32 bit - SP1, VC++, FW, DB 7.57". Are you using VirtualBox? or are you mixing between VirtualBox and DiagBox?

Please notice that software is developed using certain engines and sometimes it requires the presence of components from these specific engines (not newer or older versions).

I had to make few exams, so i was creating VMs names according to their parameters of features. Although these crazy names.

While the "quotes" used before and after the path/name is to ensure it is being used as is and to over come some OS specific requirements.

However, when you name anything, try to avoid the using spaces, commas and special characters. You never know what problems you are going to face.

Luckily, you can change names easily in VirtualBox, but look at the .VDI file name, it wouldn't change. So, if you need to execute instructions that affect the name.vdi file, you need to check if it is the same name.

But if you want to change the name of the .VDI file, do that manually, then go the the .VBOX file and change it there using a text editor. (make a copy of every file before landing yourself in trouble).

1- No, you can execute that later.

2- Yes, for as many as you have.

And when message about firewall permission pops up should I accept it or no?
