Anyone using this tool...as i'm having some issues getting it to connect to cars
i have had it working on an old laptop but now cant get it to connect on my new laptop, tried some different esys cables etc but still no joy

That looks like a standard ENET cable. Some come as one piece and others with detachable CAT5.

I have never used that particular cable though.

Are you getting any errors? Can you paste connection screenshot?
To which vehicle are you trying to connect? Is engine running?
Which software versions are you using?
Do you have any third party security suite (eg, Kaspersky) ?

For proper connection:

• Make sure motor is running if car is not on a Charger.
  
• Third party Security Suites (Antivirus / Firewall / etc) are disabled
  
• LAN Adapter is set for DHCP and not using a Static IP.
  
• The Target Connection Window should not be blank (ie want multiple target connections for different chassis'). If empty, verify:
  • That the "psdzdata" folder is installed properly (From the PSdZData_Lite or PSdZData_Full extraction, copy the "psdzdata" folder to "C:\Data\" (i.e. "C:\Data\psdzdata")
    
  • That the psdzdata chassis folders each have an empty "dist" folder. Make sure that there is an empty "dist" folder in each of the psdzdata chassis folders, and if missing, create as needed (eg. C:\Data\psdzdata\mainseries\F001\F001_xx_xx_xxx\od x\dist)
• The the E-Sys "Options" => "Settings" => "Directories => Data: path" is set properly (e.g. "C:\Data")

Besides initial connection, ECU corruption may occur if vehicle & computer communication is disrupted under the following conditions:

• Vehicle shutdown during coding because battery voltage is not maintain using either engine or external PSU
  
• Lose or low quality cable / adapter.
  
• Computer shuts down due to loss of battery.

My mistake. I only use E-sys; it works great.

Do you have any trouble with any other programs using the same cable?

I'm not familiar with your tool.
Maybe you should open/dismantle it and check what's inside. If what you find is only wires that means this is just a plain and simple E-net cable which you could use with E-sys. It's not that "easy" as advertised for your tool/software but it does the work flawlessly.
On the other hand, if you find inside a PCB with electronic components on it, that means your tool is "something else" and probably it will work only with the software provided on your dongle/flash drive. In this case is recommended to contact the supplier and ask for support.
