I have 2gig version of HW2.3 B140 unit. Works, but reboots sometimes when using navigation with spoken instructions on a long trip. Disabled spoken instructions and havent booted after that... Well havent been on such long trip, only 100km or so without stopping.

Looking for dude who has B140 with 4 gigs of ram and with some measuring equipment...

There are no b140 units with 4gb of Ram !!!!!!!
All b140 have only 2gb of Ram !!!

I'm usingTokenmasters PRO launcher and I saw that id5 and id6 was inside the "cheat codes". All I need to do is tick the id5 box, fdl code nbt2 unit and I'm good?

I read something about removing all existing fsc before the "upgrade", is that required?
Also, if anyone happens to sit on a repair pack with carplay inside - I would be very interested in getting in contact with you

Switching between ID5++ and ID6 Light is just coding.

Updating an ID4++ unit to ID5/ID6 is both not recommended as well as more complicated and requires flash programming.

How about units that are manufactured by Alpine? The labels on these units mark specifically 'CHINA', and I couldn't find any HW or B numbers on them. Do they also have 4GB Ram and support ID5/ID6?

Came across this one that came off an F56 Mini cooper. It's got the B2X label so I'm suspecting that these are the only ID4 units that can be fully converted to ID5.

I have few questions in regards to the units which are working fine (not rebooting):
CI 6 806 532 01
CI 6 833 451 01

1. Do they both have blue gps connector?
2. Do they both have 4GB ram?

I am looking for a unit and I need one that does not reboot, ideally with 4GB ram, blue GPS connector and DAB.

For all:
All evo units with id b140 are 2gb units and they will never function properly with id5/6.
So do not flash them to id5, because you have then a faulty unit randomly rebooting in high detailed navigation maps and it is very hard or nearly impossible to flash back to id4 !!!!
And there will be no fix for 2gb units, because 2gb of ram is not enough for running high detailed evo maps !!!

Furthermore all evo id b209,b240 units have 4gb of ram and can be flashed to id5/6 without any reboots.
