CIC with Combox no phone showed in BT Menu
Hi Guys,

First of all, I would like to know if anyone of you has a solution for this.
When I connect my phone to the car, BT is not showing the phone in menu.
There are 4 spaces with "no phone", but the phone is connected in the background.

You can see the signal quality and music streaming over Bluetooth and speaking over car is available. The phone book itself is caching but I don't understand why the phone is not showing up in the menu. Coding is correct.

Maybe a software update? From cic? Or Combox?

Does phone show in Media?
Can you only control music via phone?
How did you pair if phone is not showing up?

Hi, Open ISTA+ and test the car, click on the CBX-MEDIA and click "Call ecu functions" Then on trigger command tab find "Delete all personal data" and other 2 actions I don't remember the name. These commands will delete cached data and your bluetooth menu will be back working.

Hi guys

Thanks for responding.

It's a combox media not telematic.

Bluetooth menu no phone is showing. But in external devices I can select the phone and Bluetooth streaming is working too! Changing tracks with steering wheel shortcuts working too.

Even calling over car speakers ist working.

I will try to deleted the combox media cache like you said. Thanks! Will keep you informed.

Hi,

I think, you are talking about your E60 with retrofitted CIC, COMBOX and perhaps CAN-Filter?

BMW F07 535ix GT (09/16)
BMW E61 530xi touring (07/05)
BMW E39 528i (10/97)
BMW E36 323i touring (03/99)
Suzuki GSX750S Katana (1985)

Hi Kentener smile

Long time no see. Ehm it's activated via Skript a long time ago since my can filter was dead from quality issues.

The connection is taking too long too. Normally connect with car and 2 seconds later back in Bluetooth menu seeing the phone. Now while the phone is already connected the car is still loading "Bluetooth connection"

And yes it's an E60 with cic retrofitted and cbx media. Maybe it's an software update issue on cbx?
