BMW Crash-telegram memory (when a car saves accident in a module)
Hello. Does anybody have an idea how to reset mrs module? When a car has an accident and you change airbag, the error light still remains. You need to delete crash telegram memory. Does anybody know which software is for it?

Just use ista to delete all fault codes and will delete the crash data code too. No need to replace the module

Low binary programming for instance with UPA programing unit, crash data can't be overwriten with ISTA, the module should be changed for new one like airbags.....
Otherwise it will show errors....

Well, on NA models you just clear the codes with ista and the crash telegram is gone. Can be done 2 times, after that crash has to be cleared with programmer or module has to be changed.

Which one is programmer? Do you mean a master or just a software like ISTA, INPA, and so on. I checked with ista but unfortunately it cannot delete crash telegram for e90.
Also, if I need to remove the module, how to do it, can you give me a guide, please..

Yes, I know about this but some people do it without removal that module. I am interested to clear it without removing module.

Not possible without removal, but removal is simply as a 2 screws and 2 minutes job smile You have to weld in with cables to the module to program it so no chance to do it by obd port..... Sorry mate

0. Error memory only and generally in ACSM - eep! eep can be fixed!
1. Delete Error using INPA,Winkfp, ISTA, Rheingold or any professional workshop tester
2. In case 1 not working read out location of error with either tools 1.
3. solve problem checking and fixing i.e seat occupancy controll, seatbelt tensioner, airbag of any location... etc., sometimes broken wires .. connector problem...etc.
4. fix source of problem !
5. In some cases its possible to outcode faulty source with NCS expert
( this solution is prohibited and against federal law in most countries !!! Be aware of the risc beeing implemented for passengers security... I absolutely recommend not to use this option... car will lose official registration automatically..and cannot be used in public traffic anymore. )
6. In case faultcounter inside ACSM is more /equal 2 ( i.e. 2 or 3 airbags released after crash, there will be no way to delete error, not even
with genuine BMW tools. In consequence ACSM module has to be replaced... this is the official way.... inofficially there is a way to reset
Crashcounter the hard way in eep of ACSM ( E-Series).

In case you think this post was helpful pls. push famous buttons thx + Rep
