Use ncs expert, you need to download "bmw standart tools" with sp-daten for e46

DIS is for diagnostic,you need CIP V44 or SSS Progman.
You cluster must be virgin - km and VIN must be reset to use this soft.
Which type of eeprom is inside 93XX or M35080?
If is 93XX you can use P.A. Soft V1.3.6 or 1.4.0 via OBD but if is M35080 you must use programmer and make in circuit or desolder the eeprom and then code it with CIP V44,SSS Progman ,NCS Expert or Tool32.

DIS V44 was the last version that was able to program and code cars.
It had nothing to do with CIP or Progman/SSS

For coding and programing you need CIP up to 2004 and it is with DIS together.
From 2004 comes SSS Progman up to 2008 and then Ista/P
I have DIS V57 with CIP V44
CIP is CIP - coding,programming , DIS - diagnostic information system.
