E92 confirm my steps
Car: BMW e92 from 2007

Step 1:
Take out dash. Search chip and do with r270 to desire value. Maybe erase, maybe replace chip if secured.

Step 2: Do Cas with DP3 ST16 OBD and set milage to zero.

Step 3: connect dash back to car.

My question: really try CAS with OBD or also use r270. I'm kind of scared to damage CAS.

RE: E92 confirm my steps
If your scared to damage cas4 don't use r270 on cas

Before doing dash try cas3 obd if it reads ok then remove dash and do it then do cas obd and plug in corrected dash before timer expires on digi screen

Make with R270 ! If u want by OBD, u will need explorer. CAS3 has 3 saved mileages.

It's a Cas 3 and not cas4!
I'm already advanced in using DP3. The reason why I'm scared it's because I'm using R270 for the first time.

So basically I would try CAS3 with obd to zero. If it not reads, then do it with r270 pinout [Image: eae67610ae758e8c0916c0012184c4da.jpg]
Problem is: the numbers/colors from pinout picture do not match my cable. So do I have to take numbers or colors?

Then I would do the dash. Firstly identify chip. Then I need the right pinout. But what do I have to do now? [Image: a642d45a49ced65cd80cd7bf6d3f2504.jpg]
Read, change, write, erase?

I would like the take this thread as a sticky tutorial for new users like me to create less questions and threads. So don't be angry and try to explain as slow and easy as you can. Thanks smile

Wrong choice in r270. I think it' s better to give your car in another hands.
