RE: BMW CIC PATCHER v2 - GENERATE YOUR OWN RETROFIT FSC CERTS
Hey guys:

Is there a walkthrough similar to the one provided by SweetBMW for the E-series cars? I see the one he provided is for the F-Series.

I am in Canada but assume that my CIC is the U.S. version?
After reading I see that I should use FS-TOOL to connect to my car (2011 328iX)? I bought a (INPA K+CAN with FT232RL Chip OBD2 Diagnostic Cable K+ DCAN USB Interface Coder). This is all pretty new to me so any help would be appreciated.

update: I downloaded the German language walkthrough from earlier in this thread and translated it. I have a question however, I was going through the steps in a dry run (not hooked up to my car). The step in which you enter your short VIN does nothing for me, is that because I am not communicating with the car at this time? i.e. Many of the fields are not populated as in the walkthrough. (It's Step 7. Click on Edit at FNG short vin then enter to sign and add click)

Yes you need to be connected to the car for VIN , if you do the steps you will get your CIC set tou your VIN and FSC accepted without emulator wink

  • FSC Patch CIC/NBT/EVO/ENAV2/MGU

RE: BMW CIC PATCHER v2 - GENERATE YOUR OWN RETROFIT FSC CERTS
Can you guys tell me if this patch would work like OEM?

E.G

Factory F0000001 VIN. SO Map Code Lifetime Would be 123456

Would it be with intels patch if we put F0000001 VIN in there, the Map Code is the same like from factory? So would we get 123456?

Anyone tried yet? Or would the map code be something different?

RE: BMW CIC PATCHER v2 - GENERATE YOUR OWN RETROFIT FSC CERTS
Hi

I just upgraded firmare to latest on CIC, used the patch, worked flawless.

I've uploaded FSC 17, 19, 1B and 9C after signing , checking of course. All successful, voice is working, navigation is fine, but i see the Atlantic ocean on screen biggrin

My CIC has NA premium maps but i want to change to Middle East maps, USB prompts to input FSC code when i choose "start update". I pulled the 1B FSC from CIC and it doesn't work with any FSC generator. I even tried pulling from SWTController file, and i cannot find the ending bytes to remove and create the 319 bytes file, as mine is only 151 bytes after doing the operation.

I also attached the signed 1B FSC that i've imported into CIC.

Any thoughts ?

Thanks in advance and i appreciate your help

Update : i Managed to do it myself. Please ignore post.
