Read the first page, after software upgrade the patcher will delete the existing fsc, fscs and sigs, when you check status only root accepted.

You need to Install FSTool properly. It is important that you unzip the FStool in temp directory! Then follow EXCACTLY the Installguide. If you have Problems with 9C you need to update your Carserver Files

My problem is that the Patch don't work. I tried it with 3 USB Sticks (FAT32) --> no sucess.
CIC is ECE.

Hello everyone, I'm trying to activate a retrofitted nav of my mini r56.

The used unit comes from a 2012 mini.

I have read several tutorials on the internet but I have not been able to activate yet.

The first thing I did was to change the order by adding $6FP $6NE $6NF $6NM $6UH $6VC $6UM.

Immediately after I coded with the usual technique of the empty file with ncs expert.

Together with the unit I also mounted a combox.

The next step was to change the chassis with tool32 to the 62 63 A0 control units. This was done correctly.

I took the Europe MOVE 2018-1 map and put it on a 32GB formatted FAT32 stick.

With the ICOM interface I was able to download the FSC file present in the unit using the SWID IB reader. I tried to generate an activation code for the map. unfortunately when trying to update the map the unit says that the code is not correct.




I tried to run the script in this thread. However, the unit does not restart, so I thought the software is not correct.

I tried another way. Since I do not have a d-link usb-ethernet adapter I have wired the ethernet port via the quadblock connector.

Here it gets interesting. I created a DHCP server and assigned an IP to the nav. I can access via putty via telnet without using credentials. The thing that puzzles me is that the OS is a Windows CE!



The script attached in this thread is .sh therefore for a Linux-based OS.

I need to update to C1A and try again.

Is it possible with ista-p to update only this ecu or i need to follow the software plan?

All FSCs are accecpted, but when i load the 20 digit FSC in Idrive, the update begins and after restar of CIC, the Navigation is greyed out again ...

Doas anyone know why, or solve the issue?

Yes,

You need first load the SIG CERT of all FSC, after that load the FSC certs of all FSC, and the load all FSC selft of all FSC, i know now it show accepted but actulally they are not

I am trying to find USB adapter but its impossible to find Rev B1

You can also use the Utechsmart Adapter with ASIX AX88772A Chipset. It works too.

I am still struggling with connecting via usb

I picked up AX88772A chipset based usb adapter but it doesnt seems to be working.
When I plug it to globebox usb, ethernet cable shows as disconnected.
When I plug it to computer usb, etnernet cable shows as its connected.
I think adapter works but CIC does not power this usb adapter.
I tried on 2009 E90 (Factory CIC) as well but still no connection.

Any specific steps to make it work?
I thought usb2ethernet should be plug and play (at least connecting part not about ip address and communication)
