Well, let´s try to write all what intel today had done on my cic.

I was not able to import the 1B fsc, and all the certificates for it ... the FSTOOL allways get stuck, don´t know why ...

I ask to intel for a hand for see if I am doing anything wrong, and he put in contact with me and spend nearly 2 hours

In that 2 hours, we meet that my pc allways get stuck when manage the 1B, so ... here comes the magic of intel,



first he did a script for virginice the CIC back, and then wrote an archive with my certifcates on it, with that archive on the usb stick, and plug to the CIC, and...

VOILA!!!!

All fsc, even 1B (the one i have no way to import and activate) where signed and accepted!!!!

So ... what is more unbelivable, is no need of FSTOOLS to update to the CIC the FSC and certs. Just a file on the usb and everything is working like a charm.

Bye bye to the american map, hello to europe navigation ... and see soon the combox for the apps running as far as the FSC is accepted all with my vin.

Happy to hear that , finaly you got it done ,i'm stuck with 6F and 9B , all of others were accepted without pb ,i was looking for 9c and i've got it

it is nothing new, you all know how to do it you just didnt ever think about it... i just made small script to build this file: /mnt/HBpersistence/normal/generalPersistencyData_DiagnosticSWTController
with FSC and CERTs for his VIN which were already generated. So after restart, CIC software rereads it and end of story.

Its actually same way you Virginize the CIC, you just do the opposite, instead of deleting data, you add it, and then you get

I was trying to help funmantwo to load 1b because it was always throwing error "7009" no matter what in FSTOOL. Looks like I'm in the same boat again. It was working earlier but now it just refuses no matter what. Everything else loads up 17, 19 etc except for the bitchy 1B. Ironically 1B gets status in SWT FUNCTION BUT NOT IN SWT DEVELOP. Cannot query anything in SWT DEVELOP WITH 1B. Is there any workaround to it? Would some be kind enough to share a working version of FSTOOL with updated Carserver? I also tried the FSCtoXML Managed to make the XML but while importing in ISTA-P it says its corrupt? and doesn't display anything.. Please help..

I think it is the problem with ediabas ecu folder, if you read fstool instructions you will see they recommend to have empty ediabas installation prior FStool installation, so... try that.

Hi can you pm me your vin number or sent the fsc codes? I would like to try if my thinking is correct for making a .xml file for ista/p.

I just dont have CIC to test on. I am trying to learn and very excited about all this.
Can you add into script for that option like if /fsc exist on USB to import automatically?

Here is something for all you QNX lovers missing binaries from the CIC system... you noticed you are missing any kind of editor (even vi) grep sed awk and all other standard GNU utils which makes any job very hard on the device, and you need then to use ftp or whatever not... well in the attachment is included folder with complete package of binaries that will run on QNX 6.3.2 on SH4 CPU and in PIC you can see what you get in package. Enjoy.
