I think I have it but first I'm going to code a bit more simply and try to code enhanced bluetooth streaming. Am I correct that there is no reason to backup the existing FSC certs prior to patching? or are there files I should copy via FTP before patching that I could reinstall for some reason???

In my opinion - You don't really need to. If you ever need the "original" fscs and certs for your vin, just ask someone here on the forums nicely for a repair pack and you might get it.
Coding bluetooth streaming can also be done by VO option coding, then fine-tune with settings and parameters for your preferences.

I was preparing to run the patch but I did decide to save the existing FSC codes with Dr Gini. From what it looks like they already installed the 9C BMW apps code. Am I reading this correctly from the attached picture? Under Stat_FSC_Cert Dr Gini reports as "Accepted" just like all my other FSC codes but under "STAT_FSC_STATUS" it says "Unavailable" for the 9C BMW Apps FSC. I'm assuming that is because the 6NR option is not coded so all I really need is to add this option now. Correct?

I'm new to the forum and to BMW's I have a 2011 328xi, and am trying to get the satellite radio functionality enabled. I've been doing some reading of this awesome info provided by the OP and others and it seems like the way to go. I followed the instructions to create my FSC codes from the templates and thought before I install them that I would create the Map code from the B1 template. I'm assuming that it doesn't work this way or my B1 code I made doesn't work because using the generator doesn't load the FSC code in the decoder. I'm assuming that I need to complete the patch, upload all codes and the certs then read the B1 out of the car and generate the code as normal. Right?

I'm stuck trying to execute job "GetFSC" with FStool or "Read" with DrGINI on a E60 LCI 05/2009 with factory CIC ("GetStatus" or "Identification" work fine with my D+KCAN USB cable but i cannot go further )

I've also tryed with my ENET cable which i use to ftp/telnet the CIC successfully, but it doesn't work with FStool or DrGINI (my EDIABAS is well configured).

Is because ENET cable doesn't work on a E60 LCI with factory CIC for FSC reading/importing ? Does it need a ICOM ?

Is it possible to import the FSC with a USB script ?

For the 1b, not all the generators support the one created and signed with the intel´s patcher. I only get one working without any problem with original and signed, and it is (at least for me) the generator that include the ibac generator. That worked me without any issue.

You don´t need to upload the 1B and then donwload it back again (should be same), you can generate the code once you sign it on your pc. For then when you upload, and check FSC´s plug the map and start update.

Your problem i think, i´m not an advanced user, think it was coment here, over the page 11 or so (LINK), i think you have the same issue like me when I patch my cic (my car is a 06 e91), that the fstool can not upload or download the 1b and other, i did not remember which one, is a problem with the ediabas, look for the tips given by sebastianfernandes to fix it.

At least, as far as I know, to connect with Fstool/gini to the cic on a e series car, without the telnet methot is with the kdcan or icom. But, if you can connect to the cic via FTP, you can upload the FSC´s and then check them with fstool or gini.

You don't need an icom ig you're using FSTOOL to import fsc, gini i doubt because I've never tried with k+dcan cable in. Nevertheless FSTOOL will do the job for you with k+dcan.
