Hey guys, I ran into a problem.

I followed this guide bit by bit.

I am doing this on a 2012 1M that originally came with a CIC, I am trying to unlock the ConnetedDrive.

I understand that to unlock the ConnectedDrive, I need to upload 9C FSC, and to do that, I need to virginise the iDrive and then upload certificates for the map applications (19 and 1B), and voice control (17).

Everything worked smoothly, I used FS Tool, I selected the FSC template, edit, entered my VIN, then clicked on “sign” at the bottom, then “save as”.

Then I went to “SWT Functions” and clicked on “Activate Upgrade”, and I waited it until it said successful at the bottom. I did this step 4 times, for the 1B, 9C, 17 and 19. They were all successful.

After this I held the volume knob for 20secs until the iDrive restarted. After it restarted, everything worked fine.

But when the car went to sleep (parked for 3 hours), and then I turned it on again, the Navigation function was greyed out in the menu, and the Voice Control on the steering wheel wasn’t working too, but the “ConnectedDrive” still works fine. I checked the FSC using FSC tool, and all certificates and FSC say “Accepted”.

I extracted the 1B file, and then used a FSC generator, and updated the maps, it updated fine. Then after it restarted again, the Navigation is still greyed out and not working. Voice control is also still not working.

Has anyone run into this issue before?
