RE: E61 battery dead
Doesnt the emergency key work in the drivers door lock? If not, try to put some oil in there to get out dirt. If this doesnt work you are in for a treat.

RE: E61 battery dead
Well, then you need to open bonnet (use same emergency way as for broken cable, should find on youtube) and connect power supply to terminal points. This is clean way without irreversible actions. There is also emergency way for read lid, but if I remember correctly that requires drilling holes in it (or maybe that was for E60).

RE: E61 battery dead
Jack up car, remove drivers wheel, then plastic cover and try to open hood by finding lock mechanism cable

RE: E61 battery dead
I think there was a simpler and faster way via bumper. I found it on youtube. Plastic cover removal is quite long job

RE: E61 battery dead
On older e46 cars there was a trick you have to pull the door handle and turn the key in dirvers door not sure of this works for e61

RE: E61 battery dead
I would say jack up and connect to starter or alternator ,i once had twice had this with a fiat ducatto as door locks had never been used,,,first time was new window because eager customer no patience, second time i got from climbing underneath and catching aternator. you only need a bit of charge to work locks. keep trying locks and plenty of oil...theres many ways to get in but we not discuss entering without key
i help who i want! when i want to! otherwise dont ask free stuff
