Hows it going everyone...i need some help i contacted lexus corp. and they didnt tell me much....i bought a used 1999 lexus ls400 i only recieved one key with it...its a key with no buttons ....im not sure but i think it might be the valet key....i want to get a master key with the buttons so i can unlock doors by button set alarm etc....how would i go about doing that...what programs or hardware do i need? i have toyota techstream dealer copy but i was also told that wont work unless i have the master key....if theres anyone whos had this issue and knows what to do without paying a thousand bucks at the dealership...please drop a reply.....TIA

Hi here is remote key e__y item number:201823149236
transponder is id 4d and can be cloned but not the one in this remote tpx1 is the one
check key blade is same as yours
remote can be synced through car
a auto locksmith do for a reasonable price
you need a spare as all keys lost is a lot lot more

so your saying but the key with he item number??then i have to get a trensponder thats 4d or tpx1
make sure to check the key blade.....then i have to sync it throught the car or have a locksmith sync it.....i hv one key but i think its a valet cause it doesnt open the trunk

your key is basicaly a toyota key
the transponder is 4d in a normal key and can be programmed with key programmer to a car.
tpx1 is a cloneable transponder to make a copy of a key to duplicate it.
the remote has 3 buttons 2 for doors 1 for boot
you should have boot release lever under your dash
your key may not work boot lock as it is seized put some wd40 in it
these do suffer boot lock problems
i would get remote and synch to car first google is your friend here
then get your key blade cut and programmed or cloned

thanx alot...i recently got a key from a friend who works at a lexus dealer...its precut and the one with the button...all he said i would have to do is program it ....i was told toyota techstream dealership version in which i have....any input???tia

Also check the doors switches if they are
Functioning
I had many times problems in programming fobs and it returns to malfunction in door switches
