[bmw335coding]

Hi guys,

a friend has a problem with his bmw e46 316i from 2002.

car does not start anymore, we clone the EWS3 to a new used one with x-prog (write full dump) -> then the car starts again!

now three weeks later same problem, car doesnt start anymore...

i dont believe that the second ews3 are fault.

anyone has an idea?
can we make the M9.2 completly immo off?

Some versions of EWS you have to switch physically black and blue wire at the connector (not all)
Also,
on many e49/x5/e38 if key/chip is bad it can make you scratch your head for some time
best way to findout is BMW Scanner 1.4 read live data and see if VIN is been read then try to turn key 180(deg) and try to read it again)

I think the key antenna in the car is fault. Problem is there is only one key.

you need new key, antenna hardly ever goes bad unless somebody physically damages it
If key fades(reading and not reading) then it's a key, make sure to get a quality key and not a knock-off one... cause i seen them go bad as fast as one week

i think i use immo emulator. today i have no key programmer and blank key.

Scrolled thru quickly was about to call it a day , try ews ring, or in some odd cases could be ign switch hope this helps

I had same problem few years back new key solved it .
