I have a problem,
The dashboard already I have it pairing with the old one, but the unit of immobilizer I am not able with any program since the LOGIN / pin in the Audi A3 8p can only be obtained through concessionaire but with the vehicle connected to internet.
The other DASH BOARD than I have (is the second use) and I can not get that Login to modify it.
They left me the ODIS and I have not been able either.

My question is:
If the EDC16 U1 unit cancels the immobilizer in the Dashboard that I want to put will the word SAFE be removed

Is it EDC16? On my 2007 its Simos7. My problem is immo off in simos but not dash.
FOr this reason i have number of paired keys showing on dash.

The question is what dashboard (partnumber) you have.
Have you got an older one with fujitsu ecu you can read with most odo tools by obd.
Have you got a newer one with micronas it's a bit difficult. You can have luck an can read by avdi/fvdi over obd or you have to read/read micronas with xprog by jtag.

You can try read eeprom and erase aes key but if you do it so you get error in dash, car starts and everything is ok but with error.

Best solution for me is reading/writing cpu and eeprom by xprog and change immo block with avdi software. Works without error

2007 has micronas and have to be done by special eeprom or by better by xprog
only changing eeprom you get an error after some milage driven
by xprog no problem. i have two a3 and made it by xprog. best solution and immoblock i edited with avdi software.
read and write by xprog and transfer immoblock by avdi.
