RE: Remote Diagnostic
If using VPN:
On car side ediabas.ini set to std:obd and ifhsrv32 started, firewall port 6801 opened. On ISTA/INPA side ediabas.ini set to remote with the ip address the car side gets on VPN connection. |

No, on your side Ediabas should be set to REMOTE and RemoteHost: VPN IP In Car side, just set to STD:OBD & run IFH Server |

RE: Remote Diagnostic
I do the remote connection like this:
Mi ediabas is version 7.3.0 and I use TeamViewer, is for ENET cable. 1. I open normal conection with remote laptop. I send remote enet and install vpn controller in her teamviewer settings. Then I activate remote enet and close conecion. 2. I open conection with team viewer too but as vpn. I copy ip of client and paste in ediabas.ini. In mi ediabas i have: INTERFACE = ENET #Interface = REMOTE I paste ip of client in "TCP: Remote Host" and "XEtherne:Remote Host". Is only necesary write ip in one option, but I'm not sure which option it is, so I always paste it in two options. The remote conection are ready. In esys you have to click in "Connection via gateway URL: tcp://(here you paste vpn ip of client):6801" For example: tcp://7.164.211.65:6801 In ista you have to set in Vehicle Interface settings "Ediabas default settings" I always do these four steps and it works perfectly for me. |
