I'm new here so sorry if I ask at the wrong place....

I own an A3 8v (2015 model Prestige) not sure which MMI/MIB it is but it's the top one with dual SD and SIM. Purchased in USA but moved over to Europe and I heard I would first have to change the firmware/software on it before even loading the european maps.

I was wondering if that's even possible and where do i find what i need?

So if I buy the maps from Audi, would that automatically get me switched from North America's firmware to the European one? or would that be something they'll have to though OBD port?

I believe there is an option somewhere in the settings to update the firmware via an SD card. I don't mind ordering the maps, just want to make sure i'll be able to load them by having the right MMI firmware/software.

No, it's a complicated procedure - switch from US version to the European. You can bricked the MMI

Hi all, unsure if anyone is still following but i've hit a road block and having read hours of thread i'm now at a loss. I have a 3g+ unit, now running FW - HN+_EU_AU3G_K0900 DB - 8R0060884CH ECE 6.20.4 after multiple updates, I managed to succesfully execute the carson patch and all was working fine. Only thing not enable was the Online Traffic (Which i diddnt have before, as i understand is because my VIN isnt whitelisted). Tried implementing a VIN i know is enabled but no joy, removed the patch and bricked the unit. Recovered it using the guides. Current status is working MMI, nav disabled (because i haven't yet re-patched), tired to used VIN Patcher to change the VIN again to try and enable online traffic, but the VIN isn't updating. Is there any suggestions to getting online traffic working? Don't want the repatch YET as i understand you have to get the Online traffic working first. THanks in advance if anyone can help.

Atached you can find backup FSC script

just copy to SD then after full boot of MMI put into slot accept then you we get your FSC file on root of SDcard

At post 17, you provided a FSC backup script.
Will this backup script work with 3P Low versions with DVD (BNav_EU_K0260_1_D1) - is it safe?

EDIT: I could not wait, so I tried anyway. This is what happend: I followed the instructions. When finished, I took the SD card out, and tried to enter other menus on the MMI. The display now showed double information (for example the Map together with Radio information). I had to reboot the MMI to fix this. It was not enough to pull out the ignition key and re-insert.

Hi there - how are you getting on with this? can you tell me where you found the nav update please? I have a Q5 2013 model and I am wanting to update the version of Nav I have, also also to enable online traffic (there is no valid subscription)
